In Albany today there are many lovely buildings dating back to the the early settlement days. Some of these quaint oracles of architecture and often visually arresting historical sites include The Fort, Albany Courthouse, various Military buildings, The Old Gaol, St John's Church, The Town Hall (above) and the Old Farm, Strawberry Hill. A selection of these magnificent buildings are pictured below. While in Albany you can take a stroll along Stirling Terrace and York Street to view many of the original buildings from the days of the first settlement.
Stirling Terrace is home to many of the early buildings. The 19th Century Post Office Building is now home to the Communications Museum. Guard House Military Buildings and Displays
